A white Swedish apartment

The Swedish estate agent Stadshem is like an interior magazine. Every page gives you great new ideas for your home! Todays' inspiration comes from this light and bright, all white apartment currently for sale in Sweden. Spot the guitars used to spice up the walls....

Stadshem

My sister Cas told me yesterday that she loves the inpsiration on My Scandinavian Home but sometimes gets frustrated because she doesn't kow where to find some of the items in the homes. So today I promised to do a bit of an I-spy! here goes......

I spy.........
The Bumling light above the dining room table
The Hang it All brightly coloured coat hooks in the hall (15% off with the code MYSCAN! woohoo)
The Model One Tivoli radio on the windowsill in the kitchen

Any other great pieces I've missed?

Dear man, can we move please?

You may recognise this home. It's been in countless interior design magazines and extremely popular in the blog world. In fact, I've even shown it on this blog. But there's a difference. This time it's for sale (how they can bear to part with it I have no idea). And as a result this Southern Sweden home has been shot from numerous new angles (as you can see I had a very difficult time selecting a few ....!). The owners have completely rocked the white with vintage look, are masters at colour and material mixing and to top it all have added a heart stopping morrocan twist.

Help! I've just spent the best part of an afternoon wondering if I could up root to this home in Arild. It's a beautiful coastal village further up the coast here in Skåne and actually just down the road from my father-in-law.....I even sent the link to my man's work e-mail with the subject 'we're moving...'! haha! what do you reckon, could you up sticks here?!

Stockholm; white, grey and dusty pink

For sale right now in the beautiful, smart district of Östermalm in Stockholm is this light, bright and airy apartment decorated in white and grey with a dusty pink accent. I love how the wishbone chairs make a focal point.

So envious of the all white floors. What would be your absolute dream floor?

I think the print in the kitchen is  by one of my favourite Swedish typographers, Therese Sennerholt however, I can't find it on her website - am I wrong (could I be...no way!? haha!). I am always on the look out for great black and white prints, a current favourite is this one

On the subject of black and white....don't forget to enter my give-away if you haven't already (sorry to bang on about this, I just don't want anyone to miss out!).

White, brown and dark green in Malmö

Hello! And happy Monday! Here in Southern Sweden it's raining and grey and I have all the lights on BUT I'm feeling bright all the same, because tomorrow is the day of my blog give-away - yay! so exciting! First though, here is a beautiful apartment currently for sale in the area of St Knuts, the bohemian district of Malmö through Bo-laget. I love the original wood flooring, the windows leading into the hallway to lighten the space and of course the original way the owners have furnished it. Another reason why my Monday feels bright!

Could you move in here?!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow for the give-away! eeeee!

PS Thank you so much for all your 'blog birthday' wishes on Friday, you made me so happy!

Bold patterns and colours in a Malmö apartment

This wonderful apartment is currently for sale through Bo-laget and is located in the slightly more bohemian part of Malmö city. So many lovely decorating features I'm not sure where to start. But if I had to choose just three, I'd go for the mosaic kitchen floor, blue panels and Ferm Living dotty wallpaper. Just so cute and fun! what about you?!

I love the yellow Fjäll Raven children's rucksack hanging in the hall too. A definite contender for my daughter's birthday pressie in a few weeks time.

Thank you for the tip on this home Little Birdie blog!

PS I'm off on a long weekend adventure tomorrow morning, so exciting! So much to do first though - hurry hurry hurry!! I will try my best to say hello over the next few days so please do pop by but here's an apology in advance if I don't manage!

My friend's lovely Malmö home

A good friend of mine, and fellow Skåne flee market scourer is selling her beautiful 1902 'Sekelskifte' apartment in the centre of Malmö. It will go on the market later today but I was lucky enough to get a sneaky peek! Sofia and her family are so clever at finding items in antique fairs, flee markets and bargain basements and then blending them in with designer pieces. It helps that the apartment has beautiful bones and a fantastic traditional Kakelugn (tiled fireplace) too!

Bjurfors
I spy: Many of the frames you see on the picture wall are from flee markets as are the high chair, the shipping crates and the demijohn (green bottle). The retro dining table in the kitchen is a 1950's Perstorp skiva. There are a few pieces of scandinavian design too such as the set of black Arne Jacobson Series 7 chairs around the dining table and the String shelves in the hall.

Such a pretty home. Anyone fancy moving to Malmö? The more the merrier!

PS link to actual page to follow once it goes live!
