With only a few days until Christmas I am ready to finish up getting ready and get down to enjoying.  I think that the rush of shipping packages and orders is almost finished up... now time to do a little baking with the kids and wrap up all of the Christmas joy!
I want to say thank you to everyone who reads the blog and shops with us as well as all of my clients and advertisers!  You make it all possible and I truly appreciate your business and support as well as your great inspiration throughout the year and into the next.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Tuesday DIY: Neon Christmas decorations

With the winter stolsis only two days away, it's soooo dark here in Sweden. And there's nothing like neon themed Christmas decorations to brighten things up. If you click through to Sania Pell and Purl Bee you'll find some great instructions on how to make some of these fab neon decoations yourself (if you still have the time!). Happy DIY!

Illuminate me here - are you a 'neon forever' type? Or is it more something you'd love to see....in someone elses home?!

Pretty Christmas decorating with winter branches

It really is cold here this afternoon. BRRR! I think that's why I was drawn to these lovely white Christmas images. I love the branches with presents, 'pepparkaka' (ginger biscuits), fairy lights. stars and baubles. So pretty! My little three year old made a ginger biscuit house this year.  I really love it, it's all hickeldy pickeldy!

Psssst! If you would like to make a ginger biscuit house but don't have the time to make it from scratch you can pick up a kit from IKEA!  You can also pick up pretty heart ginger biscuits to decorate with white icing. Perfect cheat!

Holiday magic..

Ahh.. it's Friday.. This weekend we will be attending a small holiday party (I hope they are serving that yummy little appetizer) and just trying to relax and enjoy the holiday magic!

There has been so so much going on and I truly need a break (until Monday comes and the kids are home and the shipping of orders begins once again).

I want to say Merry Christmas to all of you wonderful readers and wish you the very best weekend ever!

What are you up to this weekend??

I am hoping to have this kind of smile by Saturday morning...

Cosy wood home all decked out for Christmas

Morning! It's Friday, yaaaay! This home intrigues me. It's not my usual style but there's something about all the mis-matching wood that just works, and creates such a cosy feel. And the Christmas tree is just fantastic don't you think?! DIY project for the weekend perhaps?

PS Masking tape is slowly taking over our homes but I've yet to see it in the form of 'Merry Xmas'. Clever idea....

Hanging around at Christmas

Hej hej! Slowly but surely I've been unpacking my Christmas boxes and dangling decorations around the house. These lovely pics show that you don't need much to create a lovely Christmas feel. Especially the heart lights - so romantic despite the cold, Brrrrrrr!

Dressed up for Christmas..

We had some freinds over on Saturday night for a holiday dinner party so I spent most of the morning with my daughter decorating the tree and the rest of the house.  We are ready now.. bring on the Christmas.  I just have to wrap up some gifts and finish a bit of shopping before I can completely relax and kick my feet up (as if that will ever happen).    I changed things up a little this year but it is generally the same as the last..

Wishing you a lovely start to a very busy week!

If you're dreaming about how to make your guests feel welcome this Christmas, how about these ice lanterns? All you need is a couple of buckets, some water, pretty olive tree branches and sub zero temperatures. Beautiful! And oh so simple. Instructions here from the wonderful blog Design Sponge.

Monday DIY- pallet table

I like this whole Christmas display. Most of the items are from IKEA. But the pallet table was the piece that really caught my eye. SUCH a great DIY project. Find a large wooden pallet, paint white and attach wheels, simple and yet cool industrial. Where's my tool kit....
