Remnants of the Past 2012

I was excited to visit the show this year, we have not been to the last few shows and I wanted to see everyone.   My first stop as always was to see the boys at Atelier de Campagne.  Their booth was full of beautiful pieces as always.  Things were moving quickly so we stopped for a quick picture and then it was on with the show.

Next stop- Junk Style design.  I have never seen them before and I fell for their style. It was a great mix of vintage pieces and one of my favorites vintage luggage.

They also had some great bird cages, I almost caved and bought one but decided I should wait until things were finished here at home!

I loved that so many vendors used beautiful natural pieces in their displays, we saw so many nests and feathers mixed in with the pumpkins.

I love loved the display of vintage dress forms from The Seed Box antiques I have been searching for just the right one for my office and have not found her yet.

Another amazing display from Kimberlee Edgar of Edgar and Edgar.  Oh my goodness it was all black and cream, it was really beautiful.  I wish I had taken more photos of her booth, it was full of people so it was a little hard and when I went back it was closed up for the night.  She did a really beautiful job.

We had a great time at the show as always I wish I was able to take more time and talk with everyone about their style, maybe during the next show.  I will have more inspiring booths for you in tomorrows post though.

Farm to table {a wonderful evening}

On Saturday I was lucky enough to attend a wonderful dinner hosted by Andrea @ French Basketeer.  It was a beautiful evening with perfect weather and an amazing meal.  We were welcomed by the candle lit stairway and walked into the heart of the space, a covered loggia.  Everything was just perfect from the rosemary in the ice buckets (I will be using that one thank you very much!) to the singer who entertained us for the evening.

A beautiful table with vintage dishes, silverware and linens.

It is all in the details...  the water bottles were to die for!  These are the Christian Lacroix glass bottles for Evian.

Andrea made a wonderful meal that I am still telling my family about.  I must make that Burrata with peach and tomato.

I will say that the desert table was my next favorite.  Each creation was a wonderful temptress, and the display was really perfection.

It was so perfect to get a chance to talk with Andrea after the meal and meet her sweet little babies.  Andrea, it was beautiful and the food was fantastic, thank you for including me!

I love a good party and this one was filled with a great group, great food and in a beautiful setting.  I think that each time we visit with another we have the opportunity to learn so much and take a bit of that experience along with us to share with others. It is also an amazing thing to meet people through blogging and be invited into their lives and homes in such a special way, who would have guessed what a small world this has become.

French inspiration..

Some days more than others I feel very inspired..  In remodeling my own kitchen I have found that I am very inspired by the look of vintage display cabinets.  I am assuming that many of the pieces I have seen and saved images away of are vintage shop cabinets- much like this one from France.  These pieces make me smile inside..  they remind me of some of my other French favorites.  As I am sure you know if you have read the blog for a little while I am completely obsessed with Vintage French goodies as well as some new French goodies too.

Thank you to Vicki at French Essence for posting about her kitchen and her dishes yesterday, you got my wheels spinning and reminded me I need to make a wish list of dishes for my next trip to France in the spring...  So here are a few of my favorites for the kitchen and a little French Inspiration.

Have a day dreamy Tuesday!

LA Mart Highlights

These are just a few of my favorites from the LA show.  I was so excited to see Eloquence with their showroom there again.  I picked up that long mirror for myself and the pendants above are the same as the pieces I bought for my kitchen remodel.

It was a small show this time but I did get exactly what I needed in the showrooms we visited which was a good addition to going to Atlanta.
