Dark and detailed, I am completely in love..

From the very first picture I was in love.  The color scheme is dark and moody and I love it!  It feels so very fall.  I have been leaning towards lighter design lately but I know my true love when I see it and this is some of my favorite color inspiration.  Not to mention the mix of industrial and vintage - so amazing!

Wishing you a wonderful Saturday!

The House of Windsor: Veranda

Some gorgeous peaks at the interiors of The House of Windsor by Veranda.  It looks amazing.  As it should, the designers were a complete who's who of the design industry.

It is open now to the public Thursday thru Sunday until the end of July.

I am loving that kitchen and the flooring in the entry.

Check out more here from Joni at Cote De Texas too.

Life is in the details..

There are some days that I wonder...
Why why why?

Why do we go to all the trouble?  ah... because life is in the details....
Happy Saturday!

Temps Perdu Art pieces by Robert Biggs

I came across these amazing pieces while looking at the Hamptons Designer Show house in Traditional Home.  I love these!

'Temps Perdu" in French translates to "lost time" or "things past" from Marcel Proust's famous novel.  It's an apt moniker for Biggs' artwork that are assembled from antique French ephemera: playbills, music scores, personal letters, calling cards. Each is constructed using the ancient art of Origami, used in a new and unexpected way.  Presented in an understated painted wood frame...

Veranda Show House at SoHo Mews by John Saladino

John Saladino used the art piece Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer as the inspiration for the show house for Veranda. I just love the use of color here. Amazing. I think my favorite part is the picture of the stairs.
